Jen and Scott are such a sweet, fun couple. Jen and I clicked the first time we met for our consultation and wound up staying at Starbucks and talking for almost two hours.
From that first meeting, I knew I was going to love her and Scott's wedding. Their engagement session in the winter was so beautiful and perfect for Scott because he loves winter sports.
Their wedding was at The 228 in Sterling. It is a wonderful rustic barn venue complete with a gazebo, a big ceremony tree, a pavilion, and my favorite, an outdoor fire pit.
When we arrived at The 228 it was time for one of my favorite parts of the day, the first look.
Jen and Scott were so sweet seeing each other for the first time. Jen kept pointing out all the details she had picked out so carefully and asking if Scott liked them, which he did.
I was laughing at this point because I knew Jen would notice that Scott's vest was unclipped in the back.
Scott's face was priceless!
Can we take a moment to appreciate how beautiful Jen's train was? Amazing!
I LOVE this candid shot walking to the gazebo. These are the shots that really excite me.
This silly face photo was a request from Jen and it confirmed why I like her so much.
Jen had a big bridal party full of supportive women!
I loved the fall decor! White pumpkins and magenta mums are the perfect combination.
Scott had the most amazing groomsmen entrance. They all rolled up on dirt bikes? motorcycles? I don't know the difference.
Jen's niece was their flower girl and she was so adorable!
Scott and Jen's faces during the walk down the aisle were so heartwarming.
Jen's face during Scott's vows. So sweet!
I obviously had to take a shot of them framed by Scott's motorcycle.
Scott's face during Jen's vows was also so sweet.
Scott dropped the ring which made everyone, including Jen, laugh.
I love to follow the couple out after the ceremony and Jen and Scott were so freaking cute. The best part is that this was completely genuine since they didn't even know I was there.
After the ceremony we went to the front of the barn for a few more group shots.
Like I said before, The 228 is a beautiful venue. I went out and took these photos while everyone was eating dinner inside.
We snuck out for one last set of portraits after sunset. We didn't realize it until we got outside, but the big tree by the ceremony site was dripping in twinkle lights. It was so beautiful. I used my trusty fair lights to illuminate Jen and Scott's faces and let the background sparkle without overpowering it with flash.
Then it was time to head inside and hit the dance floor!
Before I left I made sure to go around and get portraits of most of the guests. Everyone always needs a new profile pic, am I right? Lol.
