Vanessa and Justin had a beautiful winter wedding at Valley View Farm in Haydenville, MA. This is one of my favorite venues. It has so much character.
The girls got ready in the museum, which is an on-site estate filled with gorgeous antique furniture and great light, a photographer's dream!
These were the shoes that Vanessa wore to her and Justin's senior prom. They're high school sweethearts and have known each other since second grade, so they incorporated their history into the wedding day and it was so beautiful.
Vanessa's nieces are all so adorable. I could have photographed them all day!
I love this moment between Vanessa and her niece. Her niece was blown away by how beautiful Vanessa looked (and so was I)!
It was a rainy day, so we did the first look on the porch of the museum, safe and dry.
Then it was time to head over to the barn for the wedding party pictures before the ceremony. This candid shot of everyone trying to stay dry is one of my favorites from the day! I just love how much color there is and how cute everyone looks under the umbrella.
Valley View Farm is a perfect venue for a rainy day. They made everything so easy, escorting everyone in golf carts up to the barn, which is such a beautiful spot for photos. I'm usually biased towards outside photos, but I love these ones so much!
Valley View Farm has a suite upstairs in the barn for everyone to hang out in before and after the ceremony. Vanessa and Justin loved it and really wanted to get some portraits up there.
I snapped this candid moment before heading down to the ceremony.
The ceremony was in the outdoor pavilion. It was a chilly day, but the clear covering kept the wind out.
Hannah of Grace Ceremonies officiated the wedding and did such a great job. I didn't realized until afterward that she wasn't a friend of Justin and Vanessa. She made the ceremony so personal and all about their love story. It was beautiful!
The flower girls forgot to throw their flowers, so they got sent back out by their moms. It was adorable!
Some people don't want to do a first look because they're afraid it will take away the emotion of the walk down aisle. Justin here is proof that you can do both and still have that moment be just as special.
I love getting audience reactions during the ceremony. It's so nice to see everyone supporting these people in their marriage!
Vanessa and Justin walked up the aisle to Hands Down by Dashboard Confessional, which was a great choice in my opinion.
Vanessa had a vision of dark florals and rustic elegance and she nailed it perfectly with her decorations!
During cocktail hour we went back to the pavilion for family portraits.
I always bring a stool with me to shoots. The guys were picking on Justin for being short so he grabbed it and took advantage of being taller than them for a minute.
Then it was time to dance!
Candid dinner round up!
Before the end of the evening we snuck outside for a few night portraits. Justin is really into cars, so his only photo request was to get pictures in front of this vintage Chevy.
We even recreated their prom photo with them posing with the door of the truck open. Justin's step dad tagged along for these photos and he was so happy about them, I think he actually got choked up!
This was a beautiful wedding. It was clear how much Vanessa & Justin love each other and how excited they were to make it official after so many years!
