Last month my friend Kristen and I went to New York City to shoot a bunch of fashion looks and attend the INSPR X Tezza event.
We took the train into the city Thursday and spent the day going to all the most photogenic spots in the city to create as much content as we could.
Kristen has a fashion Instagram and killer style, so we were shooting a few different looks for collaborations she had with different brands.
Our first spot was the iconic Pietro Nolita Mexican restaurant in SoHo. Their pink exterior has drawn Instagrammers from near and far. Kristen and I are both obsessed with pink and love a colorful backdrop, so we knew we had to put that on our list.
One of my favorite things about this spot is that they have a donation box for the Susan G. Coleman foundation, which takes the popularity of this spot and uses it for something good!
I wish we had time to eat inside (Mexican food is my favorite), but we were onto the next spot!
The Little Cupcake Bakeshop actually wasn't on our list, but when we spotted it on our way to another area and we knew we had to stop. The light was so perfect this day and it was sunny and 40 degrees, which felt so nice for February.
Kristen's yellow outfit and pink hair popped perfectly against this backdrop.
After this we found an empty side street that was perfect for Kristen's bright purple and orange outfit. The baker boy cap
From Soho we headed up town to Central Park, which happened to be conveniently right across from the hotel.
Bethesda Terrace was number one on my list of locations that I wanted to shoot at, so I was so excited to be there! It did not disapoint! I was surprised at how not crowded it was. I had expected there to be crowds of people, but it was fairly empty!
The inside of the terrace was stunning. It was so beautiful and the colors were stunning. The tile ceiling was beautiful! It felt straight out of Italy!
Our last shoot location of the day was the rooftop of the Empire Hotel where we were staying.
I am so excited about these photos. The colors and setting are the total opposite of what I usually shoot and I loved playing around with these bold neon hues!
As I was editing them I kept texting Kristen and telling her she looking like SpiderMan and Gwen Stacy combined.
If you made it to the end of this post, thank you!
I finally understand why people love New York after this shoot. It is a photographer's dream!
