Acacia and Brian were married at Searles Castle on December 1st, 2018, but it wasn't a traditional wedding. They went all out and had a Game of Thrones themed wedding.
Searles Castle was the perfect choice for their wedding. It was a fairytale inside and out. The grounds were covered in cobblestones and the inside had a French nobility style.
The girls were getting ready in the bridal suite, having a blast laughing and romping around in the monster slippers that Acacia had given everyone.
Acacia chose a gorgeous ballgown complete with a cathedral length beaded cape that was stunning! She looked like a real life GOT princess!
Meanwhile, my second shooter Natalie was outside taking the most epic photos of the groomsmen in their leather armor. She even had one of the groomsmen use a vape pen to add a hazy smoke effect!
Then it was time for the ceremony! The guests arrived clad in themed garb, there were soldiers in armor, dragons, maidens, and more.
We videoed and photographed the ceremony, so you can watch the full video, complete with Game of Thrones and Harry Potter music here!
Brian put on a serious face for his walk down the aisle, but as soon as he saw Acacia he lit up.
Acacia and Brian's exit song was Hedwig's Theme from Harry Potter, which put me into a panic for a minute because that's my ringtone and I though my phone was going off. I started frantically patting my pockets, only to realize the music was coming from the DJ and I didn't even have my phone on me.
Acacia chose the most amazing decorations for the reception. She nailed the Game of Thrones theme in the most elegant way!
During cocktail hour we took portraits of Acacia and Brian as the king and queen of the castle!
Then it was time for the reception!
Acacia and Brian had the sweetest first dance that left half the room in tears.
Brian's best man and Acacia's maid of honor both gave great speeches that had everyone laughing.
Instead of doing personal vows during the ceremony, they decided to do speeches at the reception. I think it was such a sweet idea!
Acacia had a wardrobe malfunction at the beginning of her speech but her maid of honor was there to save the day!
Then she gave the most heartfelt speech to her mom, thanking her for all her help with the wedding and guiding her throughout her whole life. It was such a beautiful moment!
Then it was time to partay!!! The dancefloor was packed!
Before the end of the night I always like to take the now-married couple out for one last set of portraits. We took Acacia and Brian's in front of the marble fireplace inside that used to belong to Napoleon Bonaparte!
I absolutely loved being able to capture Acacia and Brian's day. They were so excited the whole day and their energy was infectious!
They are so clearly in love and it made the entire day wonderful.
Thank you to Acacia and Brian!
